Count My Vote

Election Day, November 4, 2008. Lesley drove up from school in SC, yesterday, to vote today. And, she drove back an hour after voting. Lesley did not want to miss the opportunity to vote and to have this election her first.  We arrived at 7:30 am.  There was a looong line, sort of the kind you see at a popular amusement parks’ most popular ride in the summer.  45 minutes.  Not that bad.

The glass comes from the Flying Saucer Restaurant/Bar. This Bar correctly predicts elections thru beer sales (they claim). -As I write this the polls have not closed.- The current sales contest predicts Obama. We’ll see.

I volunteered for the Democrat party, for a few hours at my polling station. I gave out sample ballots and a democrat flyer. Here are a couple of other Democrat party volunteer people  working the poll.

Rainy and cold. The weather usually puts people off. I do not think the rain has had the same effect this time. Great turn out!!
